6 Signs Too Much Drinking Coffee

Numerous studies show the various health benefits of coffee. However, drinking coffee should not be exaggerated. Here are six signs you've had too much coffee. According to the American Dietetic Association, caffeine consumption should be no more than 300 mg per day or more than 2-3 cups of coffee.



1. Abdominal pain
As quoted from WebMD, European scientists said, drinking coffee can stimulate gastric acid secretion by cells in the stomach. This can make the stomach ache. If you have acid reflux, avoid drinking coffee.

2. palpitations
rapid heart beat or palpitations can be a sign of too much coffee. This is because coffee contains caffeine. Stop drinking coffee if your heart suddenly beating fast.

3. Diarrhea
According to the International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders, drink more than two to three cups a day can cause you diarrhea. If you start to go back and forth to the bathroom, you should subtract the first coffee consumption gradually.

4. Can not sleep
Could not sleep is the most common sign when you drink too much coffee. According to the Mayo Clinic, coffee can cause you to wake up from sleep at night, thereby reducing time to sleep.
To resolve this problem, do not drink coffee before bed. Drink at the latest at noon.

5. Restless
Suddenly feel uneasy? Maybe you had too much coffee. According to Livestrong, the caffeine content in coffee can speed up the central nervous system and makes you restless and become more alert.

6. Headaches
Drinking coffee may help relieve headaches. However, if too much coffee, it can make you dizzy. Excessive consumption of caffeine is 500 mg, or the equivalent of five cups of coffee.
